I have been using my AM5 with a RASA8. Depending on the camera and related gear I attach to the RASA it weighs from 23 to 28.2 lbs. I would like to start using a counterweight. I have the ZWO bar and an off-brand, 10-lb counterweight. Is it OK to use the near maximum 10-lb counterweight even if the scope weight is nowhere near the maximum load weight of 40lbs?
