New S30 pro sensor / image issue

Anyone else have this issue on the new S30 pro?
Brand new and this is the first thing I saw. Not bad in scenery photos, sun, moon, but very noticeable on any stargazing photos. Even visible before the image stacks, but very bad when stacked. Shows as a large white area until the software tries to “fix” it then very dark.

Hot pixel correction and new flats didn’t affect it at all. Seems like a sensor issue. Ideas?

Here is the start of a mosaic after hot pixel correction and multiple flat retakes. Not a happy camper here with my new purchase.

I’ve gone thru the bug report and then emailed customer service and they are having me repeat what I’ve done before. And none of it has really helped. It’s not a smudge on the filters. The issue persists with and without the filter. It is not evident in scenery photos. Only in stargazing mode does it immediately stand out.
