S30Pro is dropping all frames in EQ mode

140 minutes total plan and I got 19 minutes and 10 seconds of 5 second expsures, and I got some weird result.

jay.dolan Same problem here. Drops are always at least 60%, usually 80-90%. Running next to 2 -S30s and 2-S50s With normal 10-40% drop rates. AZ mode, only tried 10sec and 5 sec. Afraid to update app as it usually breaks something else, as already stated. I guess I was expecting alot. Funny how my Origin and Vespera almost never drop frames.....

Anyone getting any info from ZWO? I have a ticket on the seestar app, RMA and here.... Havent heard anything.

Forget the image above, there was something else going on. It appears that the new firmware has resolved a lot of issues, I am now able to use 20 second frames with success and the polar alignment is much better. The only thing I am having problems with is station mode, but I will investigate further. Using the app in Bluestacks is an issue, as the video does not load most of the time, but I can see it on the Pixel 6 Pro. Thanks for resolving the issues ZWO, regards, Jay

LDPLAYER9 is the only one I have been able to get to work.

Yes I agree, ZWO need to significantly improve the Seestar's tracking capability especially at longer exposures times in EQ mode.

3AC9bx99 This is likely due to a hardware issue, such as gear backlash. I wonder if this problem can be corrected through software adjustments.

Nasa-HSIA - I agree, pretty sure mine has severe backlash and no amount of software will fix that. Unless they have a known fix on the newer ones they are selling and not saying anything they probably shouldn't be selling any.

It’s a BIG bummer, that the backlash can’t be adjusted mechanically with a screwdriver!!!

Ok, so I'm hoping this sticks.... but I had the staff at starfront recalibrate the compass and the level before moving back to EQ mode and I went from not being able to take 5s subs to being able to take 60s subs.
