I am asking for the actual Alt & Az angles used for the 3 PT Polar Alignment process. It is well known that the Alt and Az positions used for polar alignment do effect the accuracy of the calculation. So, since there are 5 possible choices and each one uses 3 positions, that would entail 15 Alt and 15 Az angles total. I am sure these are hard coded in the software and well know to ZWO engineers. And they cannot be proprietary information since any competitor could, more easily than I can, measure them anyway.
The overall set of locations seem to be chosen well, but there will be differences in sensitivities to mount misalignment among them. So could you please provide the 13 sets of angles for each of the 5 possible PA locations? If I know the locations I can do the mathematical analysis to determine the sensitivities to Alt & Az PA error for each and then compare to actual measurements for each of the 5 locations.
Best Regards,
Curtis
