Seestar s30pro Seestar alpaca_v1.1.3-1 update.

I am having a problem where I have latest mobile app and latest firmware in my seestar.
I have found that the seestar alpaca has not updated to v1.1.3-1.
It is stuck on 1.1.1-1. I have tried eveything I can think of to resolve this issue, and am now looking for help to resove this issue.

Mc67EmsC I have the same issue - did your firmware update also fail for the first try and updated on second attempt?
My freshly arrived S30 Pro behaved that way when started first and updated.

How did you determine the Alpaca driver level? The only way I've determined it is by using NINA, taking a trace, and reviewing the trace. Is there a method using the Seestar App directly?

D'oh. Thanks. For reference, my S30 Pro is at latest firmware V7.32 and App level 3.1.2 shows an Alpaca Driver level of Version - 1.2.0-3

marvindj that would explain. When I unpacked mine and connected, first firmware update failed. I retried and was fine. This could be the reason.

Ah, ok. So your device wasn't on firmware level V7.32 when you thought it was? That certainly would explain it. Stuff happens!!!

nono, i am, it just seem that alpaca part update failed during firmware update and ruuning it again did not update alpaca anymore.

Oh, I c. Personally, I'd open a ticket for the issue and upload the Seestar logs for their review. Then you have a ticket number for tracking ZWO response. I wouldn't rely on this forum for customer support from ZWO. The forum is good for other users to input their experience. But that is just my own opinion. YMMV.

Nice to know I'm not alone with this problem, but a fix would be better. I've submitted a bug report as well -- if someone hears back first please share.

there are crickets already for a week...

They are all at ATT 2026 on jolly no time for us end users, they've already got our money why should they fix all the issues!

Seestar_S50 it is very sad but it definitely looks like that. Waiting for alpaca fix wondering what they will break elsewhere.
Until now it seemed they have no QA team. Now it seems they don't even have Customer support anymore.

My S30 pro is still new, so I've submitted a request to either fix it or set me up to return it because of this firmware issue. I got an automated confirmation, so my date is set. We'll see if this path gets any traction.

there was another firmware update but alpaca stayed still 1.1.1 .

I had the same experience. I’m still having a conversation about returning mine, so they asked me to do the update, and when I shared screenshots they claimed to be escalating to engineering.

I am wondering if any S30 Pros show a different version number. I’m just wondering if they don’t have a separate versioning scheme for the S 30 Pro.
