I've captured videos of Jupiter twice since I purchased the ASI120MC. The first time I captured video was just the camera in the focuser. The image was to small to do anything with any proccessing software. The second time of capturing I used a 2x barlow. Even though the image was bigger it was still to small.

Is there a way to add eye pieces or would I add another barlow. I really enjoy the camera but being totally new to astrophotography I'm quite confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

nackesww To increase the image size, you can stack barlows or use a barlow with a higher magnification, but be cautious about light loss. Adding eyepieces isn't possible as they aren't designed to work with cameras. Joining an astrophotography group can provide guidance and tips to improve your setup.

I purchased a Celestron 3x - 1.25" - X-Cel LX Barlow and a Vixen Flip Mirror Diagonal today. I'm hoping that will help.

usually F20 is the max focal ratio for ASI120 to capture a good image.

Is Meade Starfinder F4.5?

I think you can try even 4X balow. 3X has no problem.

I'll try the 3x barlow first. Guess I might as well order another 2x barlow and get it over with. :

I have the opposite problem, just got (beginners) ASI034MC, works OK when I tried with Barlow but this magnifies image and if I put straight into scope cannot into bring to focus. Image very large on the screen. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Image was a quick try using small 76mm Newtonian F300, as seeing and weather was bad and did this out of window. Could only get portion of moon.

usuall you need to take many pictures and combine they together.

this is called moon mosaic
