Hi guys
With the weather here lately being so cloudy, I've taken to experimenting using the camera with the supplied lens attached to create timelapse videos in FireCapture.
I've been recording AVIs.
When I open them in Windows 8.1 they automatically play. At first, they appeared in mono, because I hadn't debayered.
I used the debayer tool in FireCapture to produce a colour version of the AVI.
I'd appreciate some help with a couple of questions:
Because I recorded the AVI at full resolution, it takes forever to upload to Facebook, Youtube etc
Is there an easy way to compress the video to make it quicker for uploading?
Also, when the non-debayered version was uploaded to Facebook the resulting movie was just a jumble and swirl of colours. No doubt this is due to the AVI not having been debayered prior to uploading. Any suggestions on a quick and easy workflow from capture to upload?
Are there any people here who use the cameras for timelapse?
Thanks in advance
