ASI178 cooled power supply

Hello,

my ASI178MMC has just arrived (along with clouds and 70mph winds : ).

Prior to trying the TEC, I'd like to ensure that the power supply is correct.

ZWO recommends that:

"we recommends 12V at 2.5A or more DC adapter for cooler power supply"

but suppliers recommend 2A max.

I have a switching mode, 3A/12V power supply, but I don't want to burn my new toy.

Do someone has an advice ?

PS The heat sink has superb fins. That's a detail, but I dind't know that a camera could be beautifull.

I recall Sam had one time made a correction here, it is 2A minimum, not max. I guess they still have not corrected the link?

Regarding amp glow, I read it can be improved mechanically, as shown by QHY.

Sam confirmed 2A is minimum, 3A is perfect to achieve full cooling.
