how to achieve maximum FPS rate

I was playing with the ASI174MM Cooled in preparation to a ISS transit over the Sun and could only achieve about 130 FPS at maximum resolution on MONO8. My computer's USB3 and SDD should be fast enough to cope with the data but I can't get the advertised 164FPS with FireCapture or SharpCap.

Anyone any ideas about how to do a thorough speed test with the camera?

do you mean preview or capture?

the speed is depends on USB host controller if preview cannot reach max

and your harddisk is the limitation if capture
