174MM suddenly works on USB2.0 only

Hi,

I'm using an ASI174MM for guiding with PHD2, and it has been working very well in my permanent observatory set-up through a USB 3.0 powered hub.

But tonight when I powered up my equipment the camera wasn't recognised.

Suspecting the USB 3.0 cable I swapped it out for a new cable - no connection.

Suspecting the USB 3.0 hub I tried connecting and disconnecting other USB 3.0 devices served by the hub and they disconnected and reconnected OK.

So I took the camera to my PC and connected it directly to a USB 3.0 port - no connection.

Then I tried a USB 2.0 port and the camera was recognised and connected OK.

But it still won't work when connected to a USB 3.0 port.

Can anyone help me understand what has happened? Is there anything I can do to make it work on a USB 3.0 connection again?

I need to operate it via my USB 3.0 hub

As a workaround, couldn't you use a USB2 cable to connect the camera to the USB3 hub?
