30% more magnification than with the ASI120MM in comparable conditions. The back-illuminated sensor does more than compensate for the smaller photosite surface: larger fill factor and lesser noise. The lack of contrast is due to the strong magnification; the skywatcher newtonian is correct but it's not cutting edge optics : .
