I'm upgrading my kit, and have just bought a bargain s/h Toshiba Portege R930-
14X Win 7 laptop, USB 3 & solid state drive, prior to getting a USB3 video camera primarily for planets. ZWO is top of my list, not decided which model yet. BUT I'm disconcerted to read that there has been quite a lot of driver problems re host controllers & USB 3 ports, AND corruption of OTHER software.
This concerns me and is putting me off, though I've not yet asked 365 Astronomy if they'll sell me a camera returnable if it doesn't work with my laptop! How common is this problem? Has anyone any info re this laptop + ZWO cameras? Is it all the cameras or just the 120 model that is unreliable in this respect? I also don't like reports of the cameras corrupting other software.
