ZWO ASI178MM-cooled - various

Hi,

I have been using the above camera since getting it shipped directly from ZWO early this year. I have posted quite a few threads on my website about my experience with this camera. The DSO images were taken with the sensor cooled to -25 degrees Celsius, while the solar and Jupiter images are uncooked. Here are some of the links.

As you can see, I do enjoy using this camera and I have found the settings I'm happy with for narrowband imaging. I have yet to find the ideal settings for LRGB though, so hopefully will have the chance to discover this when the moon glow is no longer a problem.

Hi again. A while back, my wife bought me Pixinsight for my birthday. Hence I've been reprocessing some of the images from before. Here is one of the Seagull nebula in narrowband (H-alpha, OIII and SII). I used the Samyang 135mm F2.0 lens wide open gain 200, 3 minute subs to capture the various subs. I used DrizzleIntegration as the image is under sampled, to see if I could get more detail.

This one is from the other day of the Cigar Galaxy, using my Astro-Tech 8" RC at F4.4 using the Astro-Physics CCDT67 @ 0.53x. I used Astronomik Deep Sky RGB filters for these, gain 200 3 minute subs.
