Hi, I was wondering if the asi 22 can be connected to a tablet or phone using a host cable? Thinking of using it to control the camera
I think maybe works under windows tablet
You also need software + drivers, and that can be done only for Windows tablets with USB OTG.

I did a test with a cheap Chinese tablet with Win 8.1 and it did work... but still storage and bandwidth may be a problem. Most of those tablets can only be charged from that USB port they have - so either imaging or charging. And you will likely need a USB hub to handle mouse and keyboard to use those desktop apps for imaging ;)
Wait, what app does imaging?
It runs normal Windows with x86 Intel CPU - FireCapture, SharpCap, and even DS imaging with Nebulosity & PHD can be done. Best would be to dig out a USB3 OTG tablet on one of those Chinese shops like DX or Banggod.
