I've tried three different PCs, including one with a solid state drive, and I still top out at 100fps. I'm using Firecapture 2.5 64 bit beta (and I've tested other versions with the same result) and connecting via the supplied USB 3 cable. The camera is recognized by FC as USB3.
The specs suggest the frame rate should be much higher than this. Do I need to use the high speed option in Firecapture? Is there any advantage to doing that?
Kevin
that's the max speed of 600*600
the speed is limited by the height of the ROI
turn on "High speed" of 224 will use 10bit ADC
10bit ADC has bigger read noise and lower dynamic range
so this is not recommended for astronomy
Thanks Sam. I get it now.
