I am having a problem and need some help. In November 2015 I ordered a ZWO 174MM to use for solar imaging. I have been using another brand for four years with good results.

I have downloaded OpenAstro program and I do not get any preview display other that a white screen. I am using a Televue-85 and Televue-102 with a Baader Solar Wedge and ND 3.0 filter.

I have also tried adding a UV/IR filter along with Nd 1.8, Nd 0.9, Nd 0.6 and still get a white screen. Even with the fastest exposure and zero gain I still get the white screen. Pointing off of the sun a white screen.

Anything else you can think of? Possibly a bad sensor ?

Not exactly sure what has happened here.

After three tries with Open Astro I gave up. I noticed that several people on a solar forum were using FireCapture. I decided to try FireCapture and loaded it into my Macbook using Parallels with the 174MM. Within 30 seconds I had a beautiful image of the sun with AR 12529 nicely focused. That answers the question on the quality of the camera.
