Some questions about settings on ASI174MM

Hi all,

I'm new to both the forum and ZWO cameras. I picked up an ASI174MM to use as a guider as well as solar system imaging.

I use an SBIG STF 8300C as my main imaging camera and have only done solar system images with my Canon DSLR (moon mostly).

I have a Coronado Solarmax 90 for H-A solar viewing and now hopefully imaging.

As I'm not familiar with best way to capture solar images with the ASI 174, I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction as to if I should use Shapcap, or firecapture to capture the images.

What settings are best to use?

Application doesn't matter as both can do the same. Settings - those that work - which in solar telescope will be quite short exposure allowing very fast capture (and relatively low gain).

sharpcap is very good to start with
