Why is it not good to use high speed in firecapture? I have read that it produces extra noise. Is there a fix on the way for this?
It should not and should work on its own. You have the USB traffic setting and that what controls throughput.

we use 10bit ADC mode with SONY's sensor if you enable "high speed"
other wise it use 12bit ADC
12bit ADC has less noise than 10bit ADC if gain is not very high

I tried to use the high speed Option in FireCapture with the darkframe-function.
You get as low noise as without the high speed option.
I am not sure if you still have a quality loss but in terms of noise you can try this.
