I love my ASI cameras, and the 224MC cooled is no exception, but I´m having problems with dew/frost formation when cooling it bellow 0 deg celsius.
I live in Brazil, and high relative air umidity is common here - like up in the 70 or 80%.
I even exchanged the desiccant tablets which came within the camera, using the ones packaged and sealed, still no good. Every time I go bellow minus 8 or 10 deg celsius frost forms and is quite evident in the FC monitor. Turning off cooling solves the problem within seconds, as soon the chip goes up to 10 or 15 degrees. It is OK if I maintain zero deg, but I wish to use it to very long exposures on NIR band, trying to reproduce some interesting pro results on the Io plasma thorus, among other ideas, so...
Any suggestions?
