Hi Group.
My first posting, so bear with me.
Got my first ASI about eight days ago. Until then we had bad weather (what else...)
Today the clouds parted a bit after noon and I wanted to try to take a look at the new big sunspot. Finding some very decent moments of seeing I started the ASI224MC and took a few videos.
To my big surprise they produced excellent images. To put it right, the sharpest and best resolved I ever have done in more than 40 years in astronomy.
Ironically as I don't use any Apple products it really looked like as if Apple has "bought" this spot... :
But take a look yourself.
Some data are in the image. I do post the bw-version here, a color version came out same quality. Fantastical camera. I am really looking forward for what comes next.
