On May 18th, I purchased an ADC through High Point Scientific. I have had it almost a week, but because of rain, I didn't have a chance to test it until last night.
But before I took the ADC out the door, I discovered that the 1.25" adapter barrel is too narrow to accept 1.25" eyepieces. Neither the NZ nor the DeLite would fit. The adapter assembly unscrews, so I took it off to check the other end. Both ends are too narrow for 1.25" eyepieces. So far I haven't found anything among my gear that I could screw onto the top of the ADC to substitute for the defective adapter.
People, check your ADC to see if 1.25" eyepieces will fit. I can't believe I'm the only one who received a defective one. There's probably a batch of defective ADC's out there.
I went onto the ZWO website this morning. I sent them an email about the problem. I asked them to send me a replacement for the adapter top ASAP, otherwise I'll have to go through High Point Scientific for a refund. I'd rather not do that.
