Fused Silica Window available?

Hi Sam,

is a sensor protection window made of fused silica available for the new ASI cameras, ASI178MM and ASI178MM-Cooled? If not, is something like that in your plans? It would greatly enhance UV imaging!

The windows they use are AFAIK friendly to UV. But I didn't saw any transmission charts of it.

I have used the ASI178MM-cool for UV imaging. See here: http://myphotojourney.co.uk/zwo-asi178mm-cooled-uv-imaging/

So while using Fused silicate window would be great to extend the deeper UV transmission, it should not impact on how well it does for UV-imaging of Venus or flowers by much (probably not noticeable).

The protect window is not fused silica

so does the sensor window

sensor is not very friendly in UV
