Which zwo camera for live stacking for DSO and planets

Dear Team,

I am a new owner of a C8 evo. My plan is not big stacking nights for now at the moment. My plan is look with the c8 on the sky, choose with the wifi and ipad software a nice object, put the camera in look what happend on the monitor on my macbook and have fun on a live stacking picture. No guiding camera etc.

So I like the idea which Atik offers with her infinity and their live stacking (software)products. I want do the same for planets and DSO too but with a zwo camera. I have no intention to work with a filter wheel.

a) Which camera would you recomend? 178MC the new 290mc or 1600mc or what?

b) Can your bunddled software Astrolive do the same like the infinity software?

There is some live stacking available in SharpCap and FireCapture can be checked too - both support ZWO cameras.

However 8" SCT will likely have to long focal length (and slow f/ratio) for live viewing most DSO objects. Good for lunar/planetary, but for DSO the easiest would be to use a lens or a short refractor to get a wide field of view on a small sensor (ASI1600 isn't that small).

Also - what level of image quality are you expecting? :)

bigger sensor is better than small one
