Window size (D21 or D25) for ASI290 cameras?

Hi Sam,

Can you please tell me the size of the window in your ASI290 camera lineup? Is it D21 or D25? I would like to replace the AR window with IR cut window.

I ordered ASI290MC-Cool but I failed to mention that I was interested in the "Cooled" camera and when I received it, I also bought D21 IR cut filter. But the "cooled" version uses D25 glass, not D21 glass so I had to re-order the correct size D25 IR cut filter for the "cooled" camera body. D25 glass is also quite a bit thicker.

Sam, I would update your web site to accurately mention the glass diameter for every SINGLE camera (cooled or un-cooled) so that no mistakes will be made when ordering glass filters.

sorry about the confusion, we did not provide protect glass for cooled camera yet

why not use an extra 1.25" IR-CUT filter?

you can use this adapter and screw the filter inside the camera

I saw that but I was concerned about reflections in between filters or glasses when stacking 2 or more glasses. I prefer to have a single glass in the imaging train.

but it's about half as thick as the original AR coated window and rattles a little bit in the camera due to thinner glass. Do you have thicker IR-CUT D25 window?

Or I could add an O-ring like this:

to keep the thinner glass from rattling.
