ASI178MC not picking up stars or planets

I've had the ASI178MC since February and have used it a handful of times for solar and lunar and one time for Jupiter. All worked as it should. The past two nights, I get no images to show up on the laptop screen, even out of focus objects. I've made the usual adjustments but nothing. What am I missing?

A few questions:

1) with the camera attached to the laptop and the supplied lens, can you get an image?

2) what gain are you using?

I do get an image with the lens attached that can be focused and adjustments made to enhance.

As far as the gain level. I tried at all levels, which I thought would work. The strange thing is that the camera seems to be sensitive to light, i.e. flashlight, ambient light, etc.

Your settings set to raw 16?

I have been using the RGB 24 and RAW 8. The color is on the green side when I use the RAW 26 setting, even after adjustments to the white balance settings.

That is what I think also BUT I am not quite sure why there is no image with stars and planets. I will try one more time. I'm hoping it is nothing more than not making the appropriate adjustments. One would think that I should see something to focus on though, even if it is very blurred.
