Where should I attach my IR-cut filter when using ASI224MC?

I have an ASI224MC connected to my telescope via a Tele Vue PowerMate 2.5x. My current setup as the ZWO IR-cut filter attached to the 1.25" adapter that came with the camera. Is this the right place for the filter, or would it be better to attach it to the front of the PowerMate (i.e. closer to the visual back)?
