ASI1600MM Cooled

Hello all,

I've just ordered a ASI16000MM -Cooled for my first CCD/CMOS camera (graduated from a DSLR).

Does the camera come with a USB3.0 cable? I understand that for optimum data transfer, a USB3.o cable is required is a USB3.0 port is used.

Yes, you get a USB3 cable. The camera side USB3 connector is different than USB2 connectors. If you plug the camera to USB2 on your laptop/PC it will transfer data slower.

Thanks for that information. Yes - I've just bought a good laptop just for Astro-capturing with USB3 ports.
