ASI 1600 First light

Hello all,

Last night was a very productive night and first light with the 1600, I was using my 10"RC with the ZWO-1600c Camera at F8. I grabbed three images as usual M57, M27 at about 8 sec. 40 stacked and the Eastern Veil at 30sec. 40 stacked. I would like to thank all the viewers and friends that helped with my settings. Don I'm glad you were on to help out I would of never gotten these images to look so good without your assistance in the settings.

Is there anyway you can pass on that info using the ZWO ASI1600MC-COOL.. I'm having a hard time getting familiar with this camera and which camera control program do you use..?

Hello Al,

That was my first light with the 1600 and I was using SharpCap 2.9 as for the settings I had a lot of viewers helping me with the settings which worked great. I'm not trying to push my website on anyone but I suggest that you log into http://www.nightskiesnetwork.com and first view as a guest and if you like it you can register so that you can interact with the broadcaster who are all very helpful. Do to weather conditions very few broadcasters have been on but usually there is at least one on at night and yes there are people that use 1600 which is a great camera.

When I get home tonight I'll try posting my setting so that may help you.

Excellent pictures!

I hope my 1600MMC sees first light as soon as the sky clears!

I plan to use Sequence Generator Pro and have done some dummy runs with darks, biases and flats and the program acquired the images flawlessly. Now for the real thing!
