I just purchased an ASI1600MM-C and I am hoping this is the correct place to go for support.
I just received the camera a few days ago. It is the version with that includes the on-board USB hub. The following problem is happening with both the latest build of TheSkyX Pro for Windows, and the latest version of ImagesPlus Camera Control: both using the Ascom 2 camera driver. My 2011 Macbook Pro laptop only has USB 2 ports.
When I take pictures, about half the pictures downloaded from the camera don't appear to contain any real data, not even the hot pixels and amp glow that you would normally see in a dark frame. There seems to be some noise in these images when stretched, but much less than a standard dark frame of equivalent length. The file size of these pictures is the same as a normal picture. About half of the pictures come through with normal data.
The problem happens at both unity gain and when reducing the gain to 75 / offset 13, and when I reduce the USB bandwidth to 70.
This issue *does not* happen when I use the earlier ImagesPlus Camera Control version 5.8 pointed at the Ascom 2 driver, but there are some other data download issues that happen less frequently, requiring me to monitor the computer during an automated imaging run.
I receive out of memory errors with TheSkyX Pro Zwo camera driver, so that's not an alternative.
Does anyone have suggestions as to what the problem may be?
