Auto White Balance not Working Raw16 of SC

Auto White Balance doesn't work in SharpCap for Raw16 with ASI1600MC-Cool. It does however work RGB24 and Raw8. This was also confirmed by another ASI1600MC-Cool user and also Robin of SC found the same issue with the ASI174 color.

we do it especially

because we think customer need the raw data when select 16bit output

so no other functions applied to it

anyway, we can open it if you think this is needed

I'm using the ASI1600MC-Cool for live EAA strictly and it is a pain not having Auto White Balance for Raw16 bin 2x2 with HWB On. I have to goto RGB24 to get the white balance and then come back to Raw16. Anyone that doesn't want AWB can turn Auto Off.

When do you expect to update the drivers for AWB?

did you use SharpCap?

just use the dll in the attachment to replace the old one under SC directory

BTW: we wish to change the sum up algorithm to avarage when do software binning

Sam I hope to try dll tomorrow, thanks for it.

As to average stack in binning it is already available in Raw16 with HW Binning Off, and with HW Binning On it is summed. Please don't change for the signal is 4 times more with HW Binning On and works better for EAA to keep exposure down and since sensor is low noise the signal is very good for EAA.

Where would ASICamera.dll be exactly.

Hi, this one should work, by the way, the average brightness will maintain after bin at 8bit mode.
