T2 Tilter and newton rings

Hi al!

I've noticed a new product: T2 Tilter (https://astronomy-imaging-camera.com/products/accessories/t2-tilter/)

I would like to know if it works for newton rings removal when imaging the sun in h-alpha. How much tilt is allowed? I can't find any specification about that.

From what I have read at some sites, it seems that at least 6 degrees of tilt angle is sometimes needed to remove newton rings.

It's not that new, but that's it's job - remove Newton rings from solar telescopes (unless you have a Micron/Aptina based camera and Newton rings are from the sensor cover glass - then it won't help).

the screw you can adjust is around 4mm which should be enough

Many solar imagers are now having success in removing NR by inserting a wedge prism in the optical train close to the camera.

A 2 to 4 degree wedge seems to do the job.

(It works, similar to the mechanical tilter, by subtly changing the optical path length through the interfering surfaces)
