error when connecting two cameras

I ran into a strange problem a quarter of the way into my session tonight.Everything worked fine for two hours but suddenly I could not download a frame from my asi 178mm.(I also have a asi 120 mm connected asa guide camera)I tried to disconnect the 18 and reconnect but now the ascom driver in sgp connected the asi 120.If I disconnect and open the setting I can choose the 178 and reset the camera choice but if I reconnect I get a connect baco the 120. I restarted the laptop and reinstalled the driver but nothing seems to fix this.Any suggestions to get this fixed?

you can do like this:

1.connect 2 cameras to your computer

2.open ASCOM property dialog and select the 178 in SGP

I tried this sequence again. Plugged both camera's in the usb hub and connected the Hub o the laptop.Started PHd and selected the 120 and connected it.Took a test frame and verified it worked.Then Open SGP and opend the asi ascom dialog and selected the 178 and connected it.This time it seemed to work.However the same sequence the previous night accepted the selection of the 178 but when I tried to take a test frame i got stuck downloading .When I went back to the ascom dialog it was now somehow back to the 120.

It was like the laptop got confused between the two camera and although I selected the 178 it somehow was trying to connect to the 120.

I realize this is now tricky since I cant seem to reproduce the error, seem like the shut down over night seemed to resolve it.

I am planning another imaging session in the next night or tow weather permitting then I will test again.

Good day. I tested again last night and unfortunately could not reproduce the error the driver did seem to work flawlessly

I think the error happen may because you open 178 for capturing and then plugin another camera

so just make sure you plugin the 2 cameras and then operate on software
