Hallo,
due to a previous Problem i have learned that your ASCOM Driver has a protection method that stop
cooling of the camera if the ASCOM Connection was disconnected. The previous Problem was solved by changing the behaviour of my Imaging Software (APT) but i have a fundamental Problem with this protection method:
- If APT crashes the cooling was stopped
- If PHD2 crashes (im am using a ASI120mm as guiding cam) also the cooling of the ASI1600 was stopped (due to a following Crash of APT)
- If my Little pipoX8 that i use to controll everything crashes the coolling was stoped
So i have several Scenarios which occurs more or less often but when one of them occur it will bring the temperature of the camera from -20° to +20° in a very short time with the risk of a thermal shock. So i have to aks why you implement this protection method and if you could Change it to hold the temperature after a disconnection or make the behaviour settable.
Many thanks and best regards,
Christian
