yes, you need to reduce it to f6.5 or F6.2 at least

How well will the 1600mm work with a Celestron EdgeHD8 with an F7 focal reducer?

And also with an Explore Scientific 102mm triplet F7 and reducer down to F5.6.

Hello Sam , the ratio is clear, but if anyone wont to speed up

the optical peformance the question is , which reducer / telecompressor is the best

For the ASI 1600 MC cooled in combination with f.e. Meade 8-10 inch ACF !! Scopes ?

Is the Optec lepus an option or the reducer called in the above post ?

I have the 10" LX200ACF and use an CCD Telecompressor (CCDT67) I've been using with my Canon DSLR. I recently tested a friend's new ASI 1600MM and it worked great with my setup. The telecompressor is a 2" OD and screwed right onto the filter wheel. I just ordered a ASI 1600MM.
