If I use the camera's 18.5mm T extension, then I need to add a 30mm T spacer to get to the required 55mm placement of the camera's chip (18.5mm + 6.5mm + 30mm). The Celestron T Adapter is 91mm long. This then gets me the correct distance from the focal reducer (91mm + 55mm = 146mm).
But since I don't yet have the camera, what are the threads on the T2 extender that comes with the camera? Are they Male T2 to Female 2-inch filter threads (48mm)?
In that case I would need to also get an adapter to convert the Female 48mm threads to Female T2 threads in order to use the camera's T2 extension. Unless someone sells a 30mm spacer that has Male 48mm threads on one end, and Female T2 threads on the other end?
Alternatively, if I don't use the camera's T extender, then I would need 48.5mm of T extension (55mm - 6.5mm). Any advice on how to get this exact length of T extension? 40mm T spacers are available, but I would then need to find another spacer that would add 8.5mm.
Thanks for any tips or advice.
