I have some old Pentax screw-mount lenses (with male M42x1 threads) formerly used with a film SLR camera (Pentax Spotmatic). I would like to use them with the ASI 1600MC-Cool camera. Here is the adapter that I think would work (female M42x1 to male M42x .75): http://www.rafcamera.com/en/adapters/adapters-for-35mm-and-digital/m42x1/adapter-m42x1-to-t2-bri#product_tabs_description_tabbed. This adapter adds 7mm of optical path length. Is this a suitable adapter?
With the appropriate adapter, are these lenses usable with the ASI 1600? Also, would I need to use T spacers to ensure that the distance from the camera lens to the camera's chip is 55mm in order to achieve infinity focus? Thanks.
