Nebulosity and ASI1600MM-Cool issues

Anybody have any success using the ASI1600 MM-Cool with Nebulosity? If so, what is your setup?

I have a windows 10 laptop, using Nebulosity 4.1.2, latest ASCOM Platform and ZWO ASCOM drivers. I'm having issues with the images failing to download at some random point in the imaging sequence. Nebulosity complains that it has waited 30 seconds for the download, then aborts the image capture and script.

The ZWO ASCOM camera dialog mentions "turning down the USB traffic", this is somewhat ambiguous as to how much to turn it down. I turned it down all the way and still experienced the problem.

that's wired, turn down "USB Limit" always helps

did you try SharpCap?

I was having the same problem trying to use 1600MC-cool and Nebulosity 4.

I posted the problem in the software section of this forum about 2 weeks ago and no one has replied.

I had a dark site trip planned so I was desperate and so tried every combination.

In the end I found the solution was to not use the latest ASCOM driver. Once I started using the previous ASCOM driver the problem went away.

can you let us know do you use USB3.0 port or USB2.0 port

and what exposure would have this problem

I would suggest you try direct connect the camera to your PC to test this at first

High point Scientific sent me a new camera, same problem, at some point in the image acquisition sequence, Nebulosity reports that it waited 30 seconds and did not receive an image. I;ve turned the USB slider down as far as it will go (40), this has no positive affect. I've verified my USB hardware is compatible and has the latest drivers. At this point the sequence is aborted. What was the version of the ASCOM driver that worked, I'm willing to give that a try. I really like using Nebulosity. and I love the features of this camera for the price. The data I have acquired look really good, just very frustrating when most of the night is wasted when the image sequence is aborted. I'd be willing to try other image capture software in the meantime. Sure would be nice if Nebulosity worked with the native drivers on Mac and PC. Any suggestions on software which works reliably with this camera would be appreciated.

I reverted to a previous version of the ASCOM driver, I installed http://astronomy-imaging-camera.com/sof ... 0.2.13.exe and finally got through an imaging sequence without it being terminated by a download failure. There's apparently a software interface issue between Nebulosity 4.1.2 and the latest ZWO ASCOM driver.
