I have a v2 ASI1600MM-Cool. Technically I prefer the V2 design with the internal desiccant rather then the v3 with the separate desiccant tube sticking out, but I assume it is better for non-technical users.
I assume if the enclosure is good (do I see a o-ring?), the desiccant would last 10 years or so. It this correct?
Unscrewing v2 front cover to replace the desiccant, is that easy possible by hand? I noted V3 has bolds rather then a screwed front. In general raw aluminum screwed connections have the tendency to get problematic after some years due to a little oxidation, but it looks like ASI1600 thread is coated.
