ZWO 1600 Cool MM start up

I'm using Windows 7 on a decent laptop computer and have downloaded the correct driver for the this camera v 1.3.9.29, have ASCOM +6.2 and all other relevant programmes are up to date. Furthermore, I can see the camera in the Driver list under Image Manager and the camera is visible under Devices + says it is working properly, but.......

Tried to test it with AMCap and get "Error during capture - error code=80040209" - I see in the manual this refers to a driver problem but, as noted above, the driver has installed OK.

I have also tried it with FireCapture V2.4 and have been able to get an image, though it can hang sometimes i.e. the camera and driver must be working.

What's wrong?

Im using SharpCap with no problem with the ASI1600 Color Cool Camera, I like SharpCap it just keeps getting better and better. ZWO (Sam) there really good getting back especially on the fourm.

FC2.4 is too old, you need newest FC2.5 beta

or you can use SharpCap

Thanks, I updated to v2.5 and it is worse - I have turned down the USB traffic to 40 and still get capture failed / it falls over.

Any thoughts, other than moving onto other software which I will now try?

Following on, I have now also tried APT but it does not see the camera.

Taken a closer look at the driver - I installed v1.3.9.29 as recommended in the ZWO website but when I look at the detail ino tht device manager it shows v1.0.0.4. What is going on?

did you try uninstalling everything and re-installing with new version?

you need to install our ASCOM driver to support APT
