I’m having issues with downloading images using my ASI1600MM-Cool running under MacOS Sierra 10.12.2 + VMWare Fusion 8.5.3 running Windows 10.
I'm able to connect to the camera directly from MacOS with Nebulosity 4.12 (Mac) as long as I connect to the camera with the filter wheel disconnected; if I have the filter wheel connected before trying to connect to the camera Nebulosity doesn't see the camera. I'm also able to download images directly to MacOS, so under MacOS the camera appears to be fully functional. Therefore, I don't think there is a hardware problem. Unfortunately, I know of no way to run the EFW directly under MacOS, nor do I have plate solving capabilities there, so this is not a workable solution.
When attempting to operate the camera using VMWare Fusion on the MacBook I run into problems. Controlling the camera with either Nebulosity 4.12 (Windows) or Sequence Generator Pro 2.6.0.1 (or 2.5.1.17) I can connect to the camera with no problem and the cooler seems to run as expected, but when I run “frame and focus” I get the “downloading” message but nothing ever downloads. This is with ASI Camera ASCOM Driver 1.0.2.23 and ZWO ASI Cameras driver Setup 1.3.9.29.
I need to find a way to get both the camera and the filter wheel working. I strongly prefer to use Sequence Generator Pro under VMWare Fusion/Windows 10 if that is possible because this setup enables full remote control of my mount and my whole imaging workflow. Is there a way to do this? I really want to use my new camera.
Thanks,
David
