ASI178MM Connectors

I recently purchased a new ASI178MM Cooled. Instead of a USB-3, Guiding Port, and 12VDC, it has the UB-3 and 12VDC, and what appears to be 2 USB-2 Ports. What is the intent of this change? Can the camera be controlled from these ports? Are there any other changes to the camera?

Hi Peter,

The two extra USB2 ports are for the connection of other USB2 devices like filter wheels. The USB3 port controls the camera and provides the USB to computer link for the two USB2 expansion ports.

I have the 178MM-cool with the ST4 guide port. I love this camera and call it my planetary nebula and globular cluster imager.
