ASI071 First light, major issues Help

Hi Sam,

I spent over 7 hours battling last night and the result is pretty poor, I am not sure what happened here as I have been doing a lot of research and thought I had it right. here is the TIFF file of Messier 78 :

1- 54 Exposures 3 minutes long

2- Gain was 240 and Offset 65

3- The night temperature was 27 degrees centigrade and the camera was -15c

4- 70 Flat frames with Median ADU of 21,000

5- No Darks

I have lots of vertical noise !!!!

Lots of Amp glow

The Colors are also not right too

Processed with Deep sky Stacker with the Color bayer matrix set as GRBG

Any idea what went wrong here as I am quite distressed.

I am quite certain there is something wrong with the settings but after reading so many articles I thought I had it right but the image is shocking, your assistance is well appreciated.

Take bias frames also if you haven't already.

Hi Sam,

OK, we are getting somewhere, quite impressed with the power of the Camera, the Amp glow has gone after taking the Darks and also the color is all good now with the RGGB setting, we only have one more problem left which is the Vertical banding noise, any idea why I am getting this please. Is it because the Camera was not cold enough at -15c, I cant seem to figure out why this is occurring, you will know more.

Image has only been partially processed until we understand why the banding noise is coming thru.

our newest ASCOM software should not have this issue

just use the ASCOM driver
