ASI120MC as autoguiding camera

I' using a ASI 1600MC-C camera as an imager.

This camera is connected by USB 3 to a computer linked to my telescope.

To improve the image quality, I'm thinking of using a ASI 120MC camera as autoguider.

If I understand well the figure shown on page 18 of the ASI 1600MC-C user manual (see attached picture), this ASI 120MC autoguider would be connected to my ASI 1600MC-C imager by USB 2 .

Does this means that I don't need a direct connection to the scope with an ST4 guider cable ?

you still need to connect the guider camera to your mount
