Banding issues with ASI 178MC

Yes, it's good to have this banding problem in DS imaging resolved.

During my planetary imaging test session of the new dll a funny thing happend. Apparently a ballon transited Jupiter, something I have never imaged before. For a moment I thought, it would be a problem with the dll.

This problem had been solved.

It is released in our software. So if you use ASCOM to take photoes, please update the latest ASCOM driver on our website. If you use the native driver to take photoes, please wait the application update. It may take some time.

For ASCOM Version: 1.0.3.20

For native library version: 1.13.0814

Can you confirm that the "Native Drivers" that you mention below apply to 3rd party applications like SharpCap? I am still seeing the banding after installing the updated drivers you mention below even in the ASICAP program. Help me understand if I am installing the software wrong.

What would be most helpful is if you could provide a detailed listing of files and the install order.

Yes, native driver is support 3rd capture softwares.

Install drivers, install software, plugin camera, open software, you will see the camera.

Seeing the camera has never been my issue, it is the banding that is the problem. Unfortunately updating the software and drivers has not fixed it.

Hi team, I've noticed severe banding too with groups of horizontal lines, almost like music staves. I'm was running 3.0.0.4 and just updated to driver 3.0.0.5, but even though that was released recently, it appears not to have the update tested here; is that correct?

The images from tests by Shannon look very promising though. Please could the driver be posted here for all to download, or can I request it some other way?

Thanks for the followup. This was before the update and I hadn't spotted the firmware linked by ShannonM (I was looking for it), however I found it and tested and there still appears to be some issue when stretching darks. I'll do some more testing though when I next get a chance in a couple of weeks time and get back in touch then as you suggested.
