071 M c will not save images

For some reason the camera is not saving PNG or other still format images. The camera has its own Folder Directory. Any reason why this is happening?

I use SharpCap. The same program that controls the camera. I have a folder for the images (FITS or PNG) and have not seen a single files saved to that folder. If I use AstroArt5 or 6 it saves the images but not SharpCap. Why?

perhaps it is due to permission issue, you can try changing save directory to other directory in File menu->SharpCap settings->filenames. if snap successfully the saved file will be shown below the toolbar as the picture.

Oh, OK, I see that, thank you. So does this mean I have to save every image manually? Why doesn't SharpCap save every image taken on a continuous basis, like Nebulosity, AstroArt, Backyard EOS, etc, They all save their images to set directory, so why doesn't SharpCap?

I love the camera!! so much so, I now have two of them!

To save continous frames you need to click Capture menu->Start Capture, frames will be saved as

avi files.

Thank you, Yang, but this will only work for AVI continuous files not for stills?

So if I select PNG or FITS and not AVI, how will the software save those images?

I simply want to auto save each still image taken by the camera. That is all want SharpCap to do: Automatically save every still image taken.

It seem others can't do that either. I will search other forums as I'm sure others have also tried with no success. SharpCap is a freeware program and what is free is not always that good. Thank you for your valuable help!

Aside, I wonder if ZWO will ever produce a FF CCD camera? I certainly hope so!
