camera not seen by software

have been using the zwo asI120MC-S, but it can no longer be seen by my computer.

Actually the devices manager shows the camera but none of the software can see it.

It used to work. Im using a Mac but run the astro imaging stuff on my virtual pc ( parallels 11).

wen I plugged the camera in, it would ask me to chose between windows and mac and I selected windows.

Now this screen comes up very infrequently. When It does one up I select windows, but neither Phd 2 nor sharpacap see the camera.

They used to.

So decided to re install the drivers. i followed the procedure to do that and now i get the message in sharpcap shown in the below link ( sorry dont know how attach files here. )Any ideas?

Hello got same problem on true Windows after a phd2 upgrade and another time after a battery depletion.

Windows sometimes locks hardware, so plug & replay don't work.

Delete/Deinstall the hardware, reinstall driver, plug again. Will work as if never plugged.

-> To include hidden devices in Device Manager display, click View and select Show Hidden Devices.

-> Deinstall it & reboot (as usual...)

Hi Thanks, what hardware should I delete? i installed the drivers already and re installed them, it didn't work. Should I delete and re install phd and sharpcap as well?

Only the malfunctionning imaging devices, at first. Don't bother reinstall software, only if it ask installing plugins in camera driver folder.

Hi thanks . I have found the image like you posted the only options i have is to either disable, uninstall or update software. i tried update software and it said software is up to date.

Should I unistnall the device? if so how do i reinstall it? Just plug it back in or re install drivers? ( they are already installed and up to date).

Deinstall : it will remove associated bad registry keys linked to the device instance that causes the malfunction

it will remove any saved parameters associated with the detection, those who can be corrupted.

... disable keep everything

Ok to it to work. it was very stage . i uninstalled, re installed drivers and the it still didn't work. and then it did.
