ASI174mm Issue

I have an ASI174mm and imaging the moon, when I check 16 bit in Firecapture the screen goes black.

The camera is supposed to give 12 bit but Firecapture only gives 8 bit unless 16 bit is checked.

I also have the ASI290 and this will give me 16 bit in Firecapture.

Is there a problem with the 174mm (defect) or is it normal ?

I've had it since April and have talked to Highpoint Scientific about this in the early days but never got a good answer.

Only when I more recently got the ASI290mm did I realize that 16 bit was possible in Firecapture.

Can someone give their ASI174mm experience with this ?

just turn down "USB Traffic"

this is because the usb host is not fast enough

so you need to adjust the speed of camera down

16bit need double bandwidth than 8bit
