ASI 1600MC-cool - 12 bits mode and gain scale.

Hello,

last night I tested my new 1600MC-cool. The pictures are not processed yet. But I have a question on the color depth. For only one of the pictures I took, I was able to check "16 bits" in Firecapture and Sharpcap (I tested both). The histogram was showing 1/4095.

For all the other pictures, I wasn't abble to use 16 bits with both softwares. When I checked the box, the image freezed in Sharcap or the capture failed with FC. So I unchecked the box and went on with the histogram showing 1/255. Hi speed was off. :|

Is this a known issue ? How to make sure I am using 12 bits ADC for DSO ?

Second question : in FC and Sharpcap, the gain goes up to 600. I thought it was 300 for the 1600. On this scale, is unity gain still 139 ? I mean is it 139/600 or 139/300 équivalent 278/600 ? :?:

you may need to turn down "USB Traffic" if no image when you choose raw16

the gain range is from 0-600
