Firmware upgrade bricked my camera ?

Hi Folks,

My ZWO120MC camera didn't work on an AMD-based Windows10 laptop ( USB 2.0 ports ), so I was trying to upgrade the firmware, I found FWtool on the ZWO support pages. The tool recognised the camera, and I selected the "compatible" 120MC firmware. It said "downloading firmware", but after I got the message that the firmware upgrade failed.

Since then the camera is not recognised on any Pc I have tried, and FWtool doesn't see it neither.

Could you please advise how can I solve this problem ? I hope my camera can be recovered :?

Hi,

Last year I had my ASI120MC working well with my RPi2 via USB. Since then I had no time to work on my gear. Now I restarted and bought a RPi 3.

I use INDILIB and Kstars but the Camera does not connect or gives a sign of life.

Under Win10 it all works fine via ASICAP.

From Jasem on INDILIB forum I read that I should flash the firmware of the ZWO.

I downloaded the firmware via the Win tool that reported the firmware was updated. Under Linux still no possibility to connect to the camera.

I saw on the forum also that a tarball was made available to flash the firmware in Linux but this does work according to what I see.

Could someone give me a hint please? I am a bit embarrassed when asking because I am sure the problem has been solved but I do not immediately find on the web the way forward.
