I know that the ASI 1600 MC controler is able to make some software binning x2. When you check binning with FC (or software binning with sharpcap) how does it work ? Is it a summation or an average ?
There were some recent changes for the ASI 178 MC (back to summation). Is it the same for the 1600 ?

it sum up for 8bit mode and 16bit mode
as the ADC didnot reach 16bit, so you cannot tell difference by eye when you bin under 16bit
more like average under 16bit
